No spring chicken

Vamos a nossa primeira expressão idiomática. Como falamos de estações do ano recentemente, selecionei uma expressão idiomática com a palavra SPRING. Particularmente não sei se temos essa expressão em português. Se por acaso alguém souber, vale colaborar deixando um comentário, ok? Vamos lá:

* No spring chicken = not young anymore

“Grandma can’t run and play ball the way she used to. She’s no spring chicken.”

{A vovó não consegue correr e jogar bola como costumava fazer. Ela não é mais uma garotinha}

Origin: This saying has been around since the early 1800, and it almost always applied to women, although there’s no reason it couldn’t refer to men, too. A spring chicken is a really young chick, like a baby. The expression began as “now past a chicken,” and the saying today is a variation of the original.
